The new duo album made by Dave and Conny, to be called "High Seas" will be
launched on this mini-tour - the launch event on 12 June is set to be
particularly special, hosted in a castle owned by one of the great
aristocratic families of Germany.

==========================================================
DAVE COUSINS SHOWERED WITH HONOURS/ST GEORGE'S DAY READING
==========================================================

Two new items coming shortly on the website (check the front page).

* At the Bristol CT show in February, before Dave Cousins' solo spot Mike
Gebhardt interupted proceedings to present Dave with a Doctorate of Banjo
Playing from the Banjo University. Strawbsweb has obtained a scan of the
certificate for your edification.

* Ray Coles, Mayor of Lakewood and big Strawbs fan who masterminded the
boys concerts there at the fantastic Strand Theater, has exercised his
mayoral powers to make a proclamtion commending the band.

And, on a more serious note, on Thursday 21 April, there'll be a St Georges
Day Concert, held at St George's Church in Hanover Square, in aid of The
Royal British Legion to celebrate England and all things English. Hosted
by Martyn Lewis, with readings by Jenny Agutter, Patricia Routledge, and
Samuel West. Music led by the Choir of St George's Church and the Band of
The Blues and Royals In the presence of HRH The Duke of Gloucester. Tickets
£35 (Concert only), £75 (includes Post-Concert Champagne reception). Tel:
020 7973 7255

Why you ask, is this relevant - because one of the readings, to be
delivered by actress Jenny Agutter, will be "A Glimpse Of Heaven" by our
very own Dave Cousins. And how did this come to pass ? Well, the clue is
that my wife Teresa is Royal British Legion's Head of Events; you can
guess the rest.

THE ACTOR - NEW SINGLE BY HUD
=============================

"The Actor" by Hud (Cyberdisk CYB004CD) is available on a CD single which
can be ordered shortly from Witchwood Records, priced £3.99. There's a
mini website about it at http://www.theactorsong.co.uk

Says Hud: "The Actor" is a song all about our greatest British actor. He
has tirelessly and unselfishly dedicated his considerable talents to
convincingly portray a wide range of characters in which he would like us
all to believe. This has enabled him to stay at the top of his profession
for the last eight years!

On the site you can listen to a short clip from "The Actor" in MP3 format.
